Kamaluonalani was purchased in 2002 prior to the Molokai Hoe. It was built by Bradley Racers located in Kahalu'u. One of the primary builders was the clubs very own member Tai Bradley and the owner of the company, Sonny Bradley. The canoe was named after a white owl that would often visit the manufacturing site. This white owl also followed the canoe builder to the island of Molokai at the time of the Na Wahine O Ke Kai and was seen on their way up to Hale o Lono. Kamaluonalani means "Sacred Protector."
